Zodiac Party: Mercury Retrograde in Libra Saturday Oct 4th at 7p

Posted in Events, Workshops, Classes on September 29th, 2008

We are in the middle of a Mercury Retrograde in Libra: a time when communications are not clear and there is more confusion in our routine than usual. We should never make commitments we cant alter, or obligate ourselves to large purchases or contracts we cant change, when Mercury is retrograde.

Mercury Retrograde is a time when the Cosmos offers us a second chance to improve something that we may have already completed. If we are frustrated by all of the repetition and confused communications we are experiencing, it may be that we are not getting the message.

Join Mark Springle at the Standard Miami Beach for an uplifting experience synthesizing the ancient wisdom of both yoga and astrology. Using the movement of the planets as a guide, Mark uses the opening and releasing techniques of yoga to assist people in learning how to break free from old patterns and embrace new perspectives. Every guest will leave with a renewed sense of optimism and insight! $20 for Libras, $30 for all others includes hammam and indoor spa. www.markspringle.com

Seeing Stars with Mark 28 September - 4 October 2008 Mercury Retrograde

Posted in Seeing Stars with Mark on September 28th, 2008

Hello All,

The month of September has been ruled by the new moon which occurred on Aug 30 at 7 degrees Virgo conjuncting Saturn. The message of this of this lunation was to be realistic and fix the things that need fixing. Two weeks later, we had a full moon at 22 degrees Pisces conjunct Uranus, bringing awareness of the things from which we are hiding, as well as the Uranus influence of something new.

These lunar events set the stage for Mercury to station and go retrograde on Sept 24th at 22 degrees Libra. When Mercury is retrograde, the Cosmos gives us a second chance to do something that we could not do before, or to do something better than we did the last time. The sign Libra governs relationships, balance, and cooperation. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. Mercury represents our mind on a daily level; Uranus represents our higher mind, or Spirit. Sometimes, our daily mind is too focused on details and we fail to see the forest for the trees. Mercury retrograde can be a great time to step back and see the forest, instead of the trees. With Mercury retrograde in Libra, perhaps we need to focus more on the balance in our lives, and to find the balance between our daily minds and our Spirits.

Throughout this Mercury retrograde period, Chiron and Neptune will sit in a trine relationship to Mercury as he slides backwards towards 7 degrees Libra. Trines usually indicate a flowing, harmonious relationship. Chiron is the wounded healer of the Cosmos, and Neptune represents both inspiration and delusion.  With Mercury moving backwards, searching for balance and asking us to revisit situations where we have already taken action, we will have the ability to heal ourselves, and perhaps even others, if we can find inspiration in the situations we are revisiting. If we cannot rise to Mercury’s demand, then the flowing relationship may be one where our karmic wounds are simply re-opened as we delude ourselves into thinking that we dont need to refresh our outlook.

Mars, the planet of action, is in Libra as well, and the ruler of Libra, Venus, has moved into Scorpio, which is ruled by Mars. When two planets are sitting in each other’s signs, we say that they are in mutual reception. This relationship is very balanced and allows the best of each energy represented to work together harmoniously. Mars wants action: Mars in Libra will be very good at encouraging us to do what is necessary to bring balance. For myself, my schedule has come to stand-still, and I feel as if I am trying to swim in molasses. This comes after several months of being very busy, almost uncomfortably busy. You see, Mercury retrograde along with Mars, both in Libra, are making it clear that I need to make time for rest: balance my work with relaxation. It may also be that I need the down time to regroup and refocus my energy so that I can reap the best possible results from my actions. It is very easy sometimes to get the “treadmill” syndrome, where we simply run through our routine blindly without checking to make sure the routine is still supporting our goals. This is the larger message of Saturn in Virgo, and since Virgo is ruled by Mercury, now is the time when we may finally realize where we need to tweak our routines. Venus in Scorpio will assist by attracting things which are in or out of our control. Either way, we will find ourselves in situations where, if we are control freaks, we will need to relax and let the situation unfold organically without trying to influence the outcome. If we are too accommodating or too relaxed, Venus will attract situations where we will need to step up and take control. Either way, these action are what is necessary to bring balance into our lives.

The message will brought home by the next new moon on September 29th in 6 degrees Libra! At the time of a new moon, it is a good idea to make a list of the things you would like to see bloom in your life and make a plan for realizing them. The Cosmos has generously given us 5 days of Mercury retrograde in Libra so that we will know where we need to find balance and deal with our control issues. With this information, it will be so much easier for us to make our list and develop our plan. Mercury stays retrograde until Oct 15th, which is the day after a full Moon in Aires. Once Mercury goes direct after the full moon, it will be time to start your plan!

Good luck and dont forget to slow down and smell the roses: Mercury wll be running forward soon enough!

All my best!

MOORE TO CONSIDER ABOUT THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY
Just from following astrology as a tool for my own problem-solving
(and more often, these days, problem prevention) I’ve noticed how often
various aspects seem to support each other with basically the same idea.
Having dealt most recently with a very powerful and direct
Saturn/Uranus conjunction, it really struck me here how Mark’s summary of several
other current aspects really spells out what life has been about for me lately:
“…if we are control freaks, we will need to relax and let the situation unfold organically
without trying to influence the outcome. If we are too accommodating or too relaxed,
Venus will attract situations where we will need to step up and take control.”
Truly, this whole idea — down to the letter — inspired my latest illustrative piece
“No Hands” on mooretoconsider.blogspot.com.

Seeing Stars with Mark 20 - 27 September 2008 Mercury Retrograde!

Posted in Seeing Stars with Mark on September 22nd, 2008

Dear Friends,

Every 115 days, Mercury goes retrograde for three weeks. When Mercury retrogrades, it is a time for us to slow down and re-examine something. Mercury retrograde presents us with a second chance to get something right. Mercury represents communications and the way in which we gather, process, and deliver information. Mercury also rules the things we do everyday, and with Saturn in Virgo, our daily routines are certainly under examination. When Mercury is retrograde, it is not a good time to start something new. As Mercury goes backwards through the sky, he wants us to revisit something we have already put to rest because we missed something. I love Mercury retrograde because I know there is a special gift waiting for me! All I have to do is find it!

Mercury begins his backwards movement at 22 degrees Libra on Wednesday, Sept 24. The sign Libra is concerned with relationships, cooperation, balance, and fairness. This retrograde is happening against the greater backdrop of the Saturn/Uranus opposition which is asking us to clean up our routines while at the same time bringing unexpected surprises into our lives in an effort to free us up from our past demons. What areas of your life need cleaning up? Where do you need to wake up and rejuvenate? The first half of the retrograde period is where we may experience a breakdown in our systems. The middle day of a Mercury retrograde is where Mercury and the Sun start a new cycle, and where we begin to find answers to the problems revealed earlier in the retrograde. For this cycle, we can expect Oct 6 to be an auspicious day because it occurs at 13 degrees Libra, a critical degree for the cardinal sign Libra. Critical means “important.” Pay attention to what comes to you on that day. It will be important, no matter how insignificant it seems. One of the hallmarks of a Mercury retrograde is that we never have all of the information we need to see a situation clearly. This is why astrologers counsel people not to make big purchases or sign contracts when Mercury is retrograde: you dont have all of the information you need to make an informed decision!

This Mercury retrograde will ask you to spend some time looking at the relationships in your life, as well as your relationship TO your life. A good relationship has balance and cooperation. Are you cooperating with yourself? Sometimes we say we want one ting, but our actions do not support our stated desire. We say we want world peace, and yet we steal parking spaces in a crowded parking lot.  We dont always see the connections between our day to day actions and the karma they create.  Do you feel that your interactions are fair? Do you feel balanced? Mercury retrograde will be asking you to examine these questions in relation to the Libra house of your chart.

On the same day that Mercury goes retrograde in Libra, Venus, the ruler of Libra, enters Scorpio, the sign concerned other people’s resources. Mars, the ruler of Scorpio, is in Libra, bringing the energy full circle to the question of balance in our relationships. With Venus and Mar in mutual reception, their energy is linked and strengthened. The message is clear: we attract (Venus) other people’s resources (Scorpio) in order to find the balance (Libra) that we need (Mars). Retrograde Mercury is asking us to lean how to balance our own desires and needs in a relationship with the desires and needs of the other people in the relationship. What we want in a perfect world is a win-win situation for all involved.

Our relationships to ourselves and with others are what support us when times are difficult. I am not suggesting that the Saturn/Uranus opposition will be difficult, but it will necessitate change, and for some of us, change is always difficult. Uranus is the planet of change, and he is opposing Saturn, the planet of the status quo. Their relationship is a difficult one, and balancing the demands of Saturn and Uranus at the same time will require that we can choose between what needs keeping and what needs changing. This decisions requires good processing skills and the ability to make good decisions, which brings us back to Mercury.

This Mercury retrograde period will give us the opportunity to see all sides of our relationships, to gather all of the information we need in order to make good decisions. If something is out of balance, we will find out now! The Saturn/Uranus opposition is exact on Nov 4, but it will continue to effect us for several years. This Mercury retrograde is giving us one last chance to gather the information we need in order to deal with this phase of a much larger cosmic shift where the old, established order (Saturn) will be renovated with new material (Uranus).

We will be talking about these events quite a bit over the coming months, so dont worry if you cant process it all right now. Just remember, change is coming, balance is good, structure and routine can be supportive or restrictive, and freedom can be as simple as a change in perspective.

Join me Saturday October 4th at the Standard on the Venetian Causeway for a special Zodiac Party dedicated to this Mercury Retrograde. The AstroYoga event starts at 7pm sharp and ends at 9p so that you will have lots of time to enjoy the hammam and indoor spa. $20 for Libras, $30 for all others. Reminders and event schedule will be posted at www.markspringle.com

I am offering semi-private yoga classes in packages of four at my home in NE Miami. A package of 4 set classes will be $50. 5 students are required, the class is limited to 8, and all will be honored on a first come basis. Please let me know if you would like to participate.

MOORE TO CONSIDER ABOUT THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY
I didn’t think I would find the time but I simply had
to post a blog this morning about one situation with Mercury Retro
written all over it: the Travis Barker/DJ AM plane crash on Saturday.
This incident has just hit at the heart of me. I even burst out crying
a time or two. What’s gotten me in the choke hold here is actually
something that’s very inspiring about this set circumstances.
Matter of fact, Mark mentions it in his opening paragraph:
A second chance. A chance to get it right.
I think this is a pretty amazing second chance for someone to be given.
And, well, you can read all about what I think at mooretoconsider.blogspot.com.

Seeing Stars with Mark 14 - 20 September 2008

Posted in Seeing Stars with Mark on September 13th, 2008
Dear Friends,
Where Pisces occurs in our chart is where we can hide or delude ourselves. It can also be where our fears live and it is certainly where our karma resides. We have created the reality of our own karma in past lives, and we continue to create our karma in this life.  Our delusions and fears are perspectives, not realities. When we acknowledge and accept our karma, we can free ourselves of the fear and delusion that come with it and we begin to neutralize our negative karma as we practice compassion for ourselves, and through extension, others. When we can recognize and forgive our own shortcomings, fears, and mistakes, we can do the same for others This practice creates positivity, receptivity, and harmony.
When two planets come together is the zodiac, we call this a conjunction. A conjunction is the beginning of a cycle, just like a new Moon. When two planets oppose each other, we call this an opposition.  An opposition is the full phase or completion of a cycle, just like a full Moon. The Sun and Uranus began a cycle back in March 2008 one day before a new Moon in Pisces. Uranus and the Sun opposed each other this past Friday, completing this cycle. On Monday September 15th, we will have a full Moon at 22 degrees Pisces which will conjunct Uranus again. This is certainly significant! The Sun and Uranus have been in constant relation to each other since March.  At the beginning of the relationship, the moon was new in Pisces and at the end of the relationship, the Moon is full in Pisces! While the Sun and Uranus were dancing, Uranus stationed and went retrograde at 22 degrees Pisces on June 26th at the exact degree of this week’s culminating full Moon! Stationing points are where a planet places an exclamation point in the Zodiac. They are like the energy points in the body used by acupuncturist. When one of these points is triggered, something substantial happens.
Uranus is the planet of awakening and change and Pisces is the hidden area of our lives.  The full Moon brings to light what we could not see previously.  This full Moon will be quite revealing as it brings to the light of each person’s consciousness an awareness of the areas or instances where we can no longer hide from ourselves, from our karma. We will be called to take responsibility for the situations we have created, whether we created them consciously or not. That is the law of karma.
Uranus wants us to be free from the stagnant or no longer useful structures in our lives.  This is the redemptive quality of Pisces: if we can bring to the light what has been hidden, we can know it, and then fix or change it, or use it. This is the lesson of both Christ and Buddha. Jung called these hidden areas of our lives our shadow. Debby Ford uses this notion in her personal growth work which she calls the Shadow Process. Summarizing Ford’s theory, we must embrace and accept our shadows before we can integrate them into our being and become whole. Once we are whole, we are free from self-loathing which in turn grants us the gift of experiencing the richness of life which we have could not experience when we were denying the truth of our nature.
We should all pay very close attention to the things that come up for us over the coming two weeks. Each of us will be given opportunities to stand up and face the music - and then dance to it all night long!. We have been sleeping in the beds we have made for ourselves, but with a full Moon at the same degree of Pisces where Uranus stationed in June, we can expect to receive information on how to free ourselves from self-denial and access the gifts of our individual and unique natures in new and very freeing ways.  The placement of 22 degrees Pisces in our charts will show us where we can make the most of this energy. Email me at markspringle@gmail.com and mention www.markspringle.com and I will offer a special mini-reading to you on the placement of 22 degrees Pisces in your horoscope for $50 until the next new moon.
We can longer hide as the light of this full Moon will make clear. The things which we feel hold us back are only a perspective that we cling to the way a nervous child clings to a tattered doll. Uranus will bring the magic wand that will free our perspectives from the restrictive hold of the past, allowing us to put our dolls down and step more confidently into our futures.  Change is inevitable. Embrace it and allow the change to make you a better, happier person.  Let the past be the past, and let your weakness be your strength.
Good Luck!

MOORE TO CONSIDER ABOUT THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGY
I wish to first take a moment to thank Mark for letting me
add this commentary segment to his post.
Having spent much of my life learning my own
personal astrology simply to get out of the problem
and into the solution, I’ve encountered a ton
of astrologers. I’ve been excited to come to know Mark
because he is one of the rare ones.
Truly. Informed, foresightful, and puts things in terms
we can all understand and actually use.
As a Sagittarius with Pisces Rising AND Pisces Moon,
Mark’s insights hit home for me this week in
stereophonic surround sound. Not only has this lifetime
been about uncovering my own deceptions, it’s been
about learning how not to cower in fear once I’ve
uncovered them! With so much Pisces going on in my chart
and my very essence, life would be overwhelming for me without
some way of rising above circumstances and seeing things differently.
And that’s just what my latest artwork and blog are about
at mooretoconsider.blogspot.com.

Seeing Stars with Mark 7 - 13 September 2008

Posted in Seeing Stars with Mark on September 6th, 2008

Hello Everyone,

Here in Miami, I am preparing for Hurricane Ike, and hoping that all of my preparations are in vain! When Hurricane Wilma - a much smaller storm - came through a few summers ago, I had an oak tree on my roof and I lost power for 17 days… and I felt lucky!  But right now as I hear the load Crack! of my neighbor’s hammer on plywood and just in case I lose electricity for an extended period, I want to make sure I get this week’s update out before I return to my chores… I’d like to acknowledge and thank my amazing husband Paul, who, by the way, has a stellium of 5 planets in Virgo with Cancer rising, for spending his day alone in the car and in line buying food, water, gas, propane, chlorine, dog food, and wine (well be needing it!) so that I can have the time to write to you.

Many of us here in South Florida are stocking up, making special preparation, and going over “to do” lists with a fine toothed comb. This is a very Saturn in Virgo activity. Making lists and plans, going over schedules and routes, and making sure no detail has been overlooked are the hallmarks of Saturn’s demand for us for the past year and forward through July 2010. The most recent new Moon in Virgo has made it clear where our routines and schedules, and our daily rituals, need to be re-examined. Virgo energy is mutable, which means it adapts as necessary to the occasion. Saturn always wants us to do the right thing, to make sure that we complete our lessons. The lesson of Saturn in Virgo is to fix the daily, habitual, and repetitive things we do that do not support our goals. Saturn only wants us to be happy and productive, but he is a stern schoolmaster. Despite the fact that he wants what is best for us, his lessons can be hard. Some of you are having a difficult time with this lesson, and perhaps you need some tutoring. You are in luck this week!

On Monday, Jupiter will end his retrograde motion through Capricorn and finally go direct! For some us, this will be just the push we need to achieve (finally!) some forward momentum with the changes we need to make. Retrograde motion in a planet signals a time of slowed response and introspection, but once a retrograde planet stations and goes direct, its energy becomes extroverted and we experience this shift as a barrier being removed from our paths.  Simultaneously, Jupiter will also trine Saturn! This is big news! Jupiter is a protective and expansive planet and in the sign of Capricorn, he is promoting growth, expansion, and security in the structures and support mechanisms of our lives. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, so the influence of Jupiter upon our fix-it handyman specialist Saturn in Virgo will be to bring in new ideas on how to get things fixed so that our daily grind works for us by supporting us rather than wearing us down.

To illustrate this influence, let me share one of my own recent experiences. I am a good cook, but I have lost my appreciation for cooking. I can remember feelings of pride and pleasure in the kitchen as I prepared meals to share with my friends and loved ones. I felt like I was sharing a special part of me when I cooked for my friends. Cooking for me was a way to express my love of the people for whom I cooked. Over the years, I began to see cooking as a chore, a mundane one at that. The hours of standing on tile floors, chopping, slicing, stirring, and braising were dreary and demanded too much of my time. Not only did I spend hours cooking, but I had to spend just as much time cleaning up! How could I do the other things I wanted to do that evening if I needed 3 hours to cook, eat, and clean up the mess? Where did my appreciation of the art and ritual of cooking go? One day a few weeks ago, I heard an interview on NPR with a woman (I missed her intro on the program) who commented on how sad she thought it was that people complained about cooking. Her view was that since so many people were without food in the world, we should embrace the ability to cook as a gift: a daily celebration of the abundance and good fortune we were receiving that was NOT a common experience for many, many people in the world. I bowed my head in shame when I heard her speak, because I knew she was right. I am blessed with the ability to create interesting and tasty meals for myself, my husband, and our friends. Would I feel as if creating delicious, wholesome meals was a BURDEN if I found myself….without power or food for 17 days after a major hurricane?

Sometimes we take things for granted because we get used to them. Jupiter in Capricorn, once it goes direct, will help us to find the joy in the everyday structure of our lives - the things we are used to and dont apprecaite any more. Capricorn energy is earthy, as is Virgo energy. Nothing is glamorous about the ways their energies are manifested in the world. No one would call appreciating the process of creating the daily meal glamorous, but glamour doesnt make our lives better, only shinier. Our lives are better when we understand how to appreciate the true and lasting gifts we have, and how to honor them daily rather than to take them for granted, or worse, expect them! Imagine if we could experience our everyday routine as a moving meditation on the abundance and joy of life?   Brushing our teeth would be a celebration of the gift of health. Watering our gardens and walking our dogs would become celebrations of our wondrous connection with Nature. Taking the kids to school, picking them up, taking them soccer practice, ballet class, and play dates would all be a way for us to give thanks for the miracle of creation and the gift of participating in it.

Jupiter can get a little carried away with himself and, sometimes, optimism carried to an extreme seems silly to us, but how do you think your life could change if you could find a little joy and appreciation for the beauty of your daily routine. Lets face it, we live one day at a time.  We create the beauty in our lives one day at time, in the grocery store or running errands, or in the kitchen while we prepare dinner. If we only appreciate making the Thanksgiving meal, and not the other 364 dinners of the year, we arent finding much joy.

While Jupiter is bringing optimism and a good attitude to fix-it minded Saturn, Mercury in Libra darts in to make a square to Jupiter! Mercury represents ideas and communications. No action occurs until Mercury has had his say, so we must always pay attention to his message. Squaring Jupiter will bring lots of new and exciting ideas or thoughts into our heads. Perhaps others will have wondrous offers or great new plans to share. Optimism is contagious! If we have been stuck, all of this exciting new energy and communication will seem like Mardi Gras after Lent. Enjoy the excitement and embrace the optimism, but remember that Jupiter can get carried away. Jupiter rarely worries abuot the details. Despite the freshness of these new ideas, remember that Saturn in Virgo demands practicality, and Jupiter in earthy Capricorn knows that somethings wont work, even if it is fun to think about them! Brainstorm to your hearts’ content, but if we want the dream to be a reality, we must practical. As every woman knows (and lots of men, too!) the most glamorous pair of shoes isnt always the best choice for an evening of dancing.

Mercury in Libra wants us to balance the inspirations we receive through contact with Jupiter with the earthy and practical attitudes of Capricorn and Virgo. Expand your support systems and support structures with an eye for improving your daily experience. If you were happier by 30% everyday, how happy would you be overall? My guess is much more than 30%!

One final word of advice: Mercury has moved into his shadow and is preparing to go retrograde from 22 - 7 degrees of Libra from Sept 24 through Oct 15. He will finally clear his shadow on Oct 31.  Mercury retrograde is famous for misunderstandings, unclear communications and difficulties with routines or travel plans. This Mercury retrograde will be a reality check designed to test how practically we applied the inspirations we received from the Mercury square Jupiter event of Sept 8. Never make large purchases, sign contracts, or make decisions you cant revisit during Mercury retrograde. More on this topic later in the month!

Enjoy your week!

Seeing Stars with Mark 31 August - 6 September 2008

Posted in Seeing Stars with Mark on September 1st, 2008

Hello Everyone!

After a week-long vacation in Charleston, SC where I grew up, I am sitting at home in Miami, in the same spot from which I always write to you, wondering how you are doing? This summer has been a volatile one, with many strong transits and several planetary cycles beginning and ending. Add to these events concern over the economy, the war, and the upcoming election, and I am willing to bet that everyone one of us has a pocketful of issues that needs to be addressed.

Good news! Now is the time to make your list of issues and to prioritize it! Just this past Saturday, the Moon was new in Virgo. A new Moon in Virgo is a perfect time to set your intentions, to make your list of things to do, and to prepare a plan of action detailing how to handle each situation. After all of the intense Pluto energy that affected Mercury and Venus last week, you should be aware of which routines, schedules, and habits are working for you and which are not. We have been dealing with the issue of schedules and routines ever since Saturn moved into Virgo exactly one year ago this week! Virgo is a practical and mutable earth sign. Virgo adapts itself to the greatest good. Virgo is concerned with everything we do on a daily basis. Virgo represents the routine, schedule, habit, and ritual of our daily lives. As I mentioned a few weeks ago with reference to the Leo solar eclipse, we must find the joy in our daily life if we are going to experience a lasting happiness. If we can only be happy when Ed McMahon shows up with a Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes check, then we arent exactly setting ourselves up for success, are we?

You have received message after message over the last year about where you need to make some changes, readjust your schedule, change your routines, and generally clean up the Virgo area of your life. Sometimes, as humans, we have an immense capacity for denying the reality of a situation. I hope we are willing to take an honest look at ourselves now. Virgo is mutable, which means adaptable: just because we have always done something one way, doesnt mean that we must continue to do it that way. Remember how we fought that battle with the Saturn/Neptune opposition in 2006-2007? Do we need to go through that again in order to realize that its time to make some changes?

The ruler of Virgo is Mercury, so we must see where Mercury is and what he is doing. From Aug 10-29, Mercury was in Virgo, drawing our attention to our schedules, habits, and routines once again. It was during this time that I decided to commit to changing my own schedule. Previous to that change, I stubbornly clung to my old schedule, thinking that longevity and consistency produced value. Well perhaps it can, but I came to understand that I could produce more value by changing my schedule, thereby freeing up my time and my creativity. I can now devote more time to the tasks that I want to focus on, but couldnt because my old schedule didnt allow it… like my still undeveloped website that I have been talking about for way too long not to have by now! This email will be the first post to my new blog! Check me out at www.markspringle.com

Mercury has now moved into Libra, whose energy is concerned with cooperation and balance. This means that as we adjust our routines, etc., we must acknowledge that we may need the assistance or cooperation of others in order to realize our new goals in these areas. Saturn, who is leading the charge in the sign of Virgo, is exalted in Libra, meaning that he is at his best in this sign of cooperation and balance. We will also achieve the best results when we learn how to make adjusts which take into account the inter-related nature of our daily lives. Its like the Butterfly Effect: what we each do as individuals effects everyone else. If you want good results, cooperate with the people whose routines will change with yours, and VOILA, synchronicity is achieved. Mars is also in Libra, supporting action which supports cooperation.

Following this new Moon in Virgo will be the full Moon in Pisces on September 15. Virgo and Pisces are opposites, and when we have an opposition in the sky, we have a challenge in our lives. September’s lunation cycle is foreshadowing a much larger opposition which will occur on November 4th: Saturn and Uranus will oppose each other, demanding that we learn how to free ourselves by making the right choices with respect to our routines and schedules - the details of our daily lives. Once again, I am reminded of how generous the universe can be. We are getting a look at the test of Nov 4th two months in advance!

What a great chance we will have as Americans on that auspicious day: its Election Day! It will be interesting to see how the voting public will respond to the opposition between Saturn, who wants discipline and structure, with Uranus, who wants freedom from no longer useful restrictions. I would be surprised if Obama didnt win just because of the astrology involved.

Now is the time to take an honest look the Virgo areas of your life and to make adjustments, especially with regard to the need for cooperation from others in order for your habits to support you. Even the most disciplined among us can make a change for the better: the down side of Virgo is the need for perfection! Since we can never be perfect, its good to learn how to be happy being less than perfect. Whether you need to pick up the slack, or learn how to relax, now is the time to ride the current of the universe to a healthier, and happier, place!  Progress, not perfection, should be your goal.

Dont know where your Virgo is or what habits need a change? Mini-readings for the Virgo area of your chart on sale now through Nov 4th, only $40! Email me for your appointment!

With love,

mark
