Excerpt from Solar Eclipse column for 2.6.8 at 17 degrees Aquarius
When the moon is new, we should take the time to plant the seeds we want to grow. We should dedicate ourselves to beginning the changes we want to see in ourselves, our lives, our groups. This new moon will be a solar eclipse in Aquarius, conjuncting both Mercury retrograde and Neptune. This week will be a great time to think, to research, to re-examine, and to relax our need to be so dogmatic and inflexible with ourselves and those around us. Use the energy of this new moon to allow yourself to come up with some big ideas. Use the Mercury retrograde conjunct Neptune in Aquarius to inspire your thoughts, to introduce innovation into the ways you process or understand information. Look for the positive in all of the negative feedback you get, and perhaps more importantly, where are the pitfalls in the the positive? Are you too flattered to be practical? Are you letting the group dictate to you, or are you freely accepting membership?  Use this lunation in conjunction with Mercury retrograde to inspire innovation in your perspective.  Once Mercury goes direct in mid-Feb, your new perspectives will be there to help you make good decisions. Remember, you are on a fact finding mission. You dont have all of the information you need right now, and Neptune could be veiling something from you altogether. Do your best to keep and open mind, be original, be innovative, look for several perspectives to every issue, and hold judgment.
